Lessons in VET 2: Conduit Bending

The seven lessons each teach a different conduit bend, including:

• 90º Stub-Up using the Arrow Method
• 90º Stub-Up using the Star Method
• Back-to-Back 90 Bends
• 3 Bend Back-to-Back
• Offset Bend
• 3 Bend Saddle
• 4 Bend Saddle

This 3 day course offers classroom curriculum with an added Virtual Reality component giving learners an immersive experience. This will provide more comfort on the job site when working with loads, cranes, lifts, etc. This program highlights safety and other valuable job site resources.

 NETCO is excited to introduce a brand-new drone training course for Power Line Technicians. In partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, this three-day, program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training practical flight training led by a Transport Canada certified instructor. Designed specifically for Power Line Technicians, the program builds real-world drone operation skills and leads to official drone pilot certification. This course is another tool for IBEW members to expand their skill set and confidently leverage today’s evolving technologies, supporting safer work practices, greater efficiency, and continued professional growth in a rapidly changing industry. 

This self paced online course is a great beginner tool to familiarize a learner with the Canadian Electrical Code by section. 

It will assist apprentices in navigation and understanding the content.

This non-mandatory refresher course is a great way to dust off the Canadian Electrical Code book and practice navigation in preparation for taking the Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP)

This self paced online course provides a comprehensive overview of electrical safety practices for individuals who work on or near energized electrical systems. Participants will gain an understanding of arc flash hazards, electrical risks in the workplace, and the standards and regulations that govern safe electrical work in Canada.

  The Construction Electrician (NOC 7241) Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Certified (PVSC) Personnel Certification has been developed by CSA Group in conjunction with the National Electrical Trade Council (NETCO) and industry stakeholders to provide assurance that an individual possesses the competencies deemed necessary to perform the job function of a Solar Photovoltaic Systems Certified electrician.
